VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Viviana McBroom

"When I first graduated into high school, I made my relationship with God dependent on church and Godly friendships rather than dependent on God Himself.  This left me feeling empty and unhappy because my joy and growth with God wasn’t found in Him but in my circumstances.  After a few months I finally realized I needed to stop basing my relationship with God off of circumstances and opportunities and seek Him out personally instead.  In that time, God showed me that He was more than enough for me and if I sought Him out, not only would I find Him, but every need I had would be satisfied.

"After I began to make my relationship with God my own and not dependent on what was going on around me, God started giving me the opportunities that I’d been wanting but I wasn’t getting previously.  God allowed me to travel to Ireland for a missions trip, become and student intern, worship leader, and join the sound and media team.  It’s been amazing to see how these opportunities God has given me have helped me grow in ways I never expected, making me more and more dependent on Him for strength and guidance.

"The Lord also recently opened the door for me to lead a junior high girls discipleship group and be given the position of technical director for the youth ministry.  I am beyond blessed, thankful, and humbled by all of the ways God has chosen to use me, and I cannot wait to see what else He has in store for me and the ministry needs as a whole."
