Youth Sunday 2018 Recap

YOUTH SUNDAY

So thankful for what God did through us to serve our church this past weekend! Our students & leaders led worship, served baked goods, declared of what God has in our lives through Cardboard Testimonies. Praise the Lord for all that He did, and is yet to do in & through us!

I used to really struggle with anger and attitude problems. I was very angry and bitter and took that out on my friends and loved ones, but I prayed that God would take that away and give me more joy and thanks to God he has made me a less angry person and a more of a joyful one. - Destiney Phillips (Junior)

"I once looked for this world to bring me pleasure, money, drugs, and sexual immorality. But all it led to was me wanting more and never having enough, but because Christ died for me I can put my trust in him and have satisfaction in Him because I know what God gives is always the best." - John Cross (Jr. High Leader)

"I tried to find who I was through other people and I cared about what they all thought of me. this led me to making bad decisions to become “in shape” which ultimately hurt my body. But, when I finally surrendered to God and got help, I learned that my worth is defined by none other than Christ Himself." - Michelle Fambrough (Senior)

"For the majority of my life I lived in fear of what people might think of me or what would happen if I said the wrong things. I never believed in myself and that caused me to never want to show people who I truly was. Now, over the past two years I’ve learned to accept myself for who I am and who Jesus sees me as." - Sara Okuno (Sophomore)
