JHI WORSHIP PURPOSE

What we want in JHI worship is not perfection or the most skilled
musicians of all time. What we want in JHI worship is a humble heart that’s full of love for one another while also giving your best effort to be the best musician you can be as a sacrifice to God.

EXPECTATIONS

I. First and foremost, we expect a deep reverence and connection
with God and a heart that yearns to worship him. The reason why we want this is
because as part of the worship team we expect you to lead people by example,
and how can you lead someone to a place where you are not?

II. Secondly, we want communication. You cannot have a good
relationship with anyone without communication. On top of that, lack of
communication a lot of times lead to rumors and drama which is not ok. The best
thing to do if you ever have any type of concern, question and/or are confused
you can always ask anyone in leadership and I’m sure they will point you in the
right direction.

III. Last but not least, the grind. I personally expect every single
person on this worship team to show up to on time or close to it, with the songs
known well enough to play through practice. I don’t expect perfection every
service and every practice but I expect effort to be very apparent and growth in
both the spiritual sense and musical sense to be apparent.

ABOUT JOSH:  My purpose for being a leader is to show every kid the love of God, and to make it clear as day to them that there is nothing that can separate them from the love of Christ and that they shouldn’t let anyone tell them otherwise.
