SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

We are seeking someone to volunteer part-time (approximately 8 hours a week) during regular business days, specifically Tuesday and/or Friday, as well as on Sunday mornings from 8:30am to 1:00pm. You will also be required to attend all events we prepare for.

Description of role

Reports to: Zack McCoy, Design Manager

The role of the Social Media Intern is to support the big picture social media goals of the YOUTH ministry by tending to smaller tasks throughout the week, as well as performing several different social media and photography-related tasks at services and events. Other duties may include providing creative input for a variety of social media projects and other design tasks.

The role of the Social Media Intern is to support the big picture social media goals of the YOUTH ministry by tending to smaller tasks throughout the week, as well as performing several different social media and photography-related tasks at services and events. Other duties may include providing creative input for a variety of social media projects and other design tasks.  

We are looking for an assistant who can complete the tasks well, in a timely manner, and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, ability to adapt to change as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment. 

You will be working in a team environment alongside the Design Manager and Youth staff. As the Assistant, you will perform various duties and must be open and flexible to change as this position entails it.

Duties include but are not limited to…

  • Assisting in implementing steps to accomplish various creative tasks having to do with, but not limited to, social media, graphic design, photography, video, photo and/or video editing,
  • Accomplishing an assigned task with little to no supervision
  • Aiding Design Manager in providing adequate social, video and photo media coverage of Sunday morning services.
